ARTIST COMMENTS

Concept

My dad was a naval officer and he talked about standing watch on the ships he was commissioned on. The ringing of six bells mean three hours have elapsed since the current watch went on duty. I have an app on my phone that rings every thirty minutes. It reminds me to breathe and be aware of the present moment.  The off white represents an internal luminosity and a depicts a private drama within a moment.
