Concept
After several visits to my mother’s small hometown in Wisconsin, it’s a clique but true that “you can’t go home again,” which gave me the idea for the painting’s name. The feeling I had when visiting relatives, seeing the farmland with its vast open spaces inspired this work. The vertical lines are reminiscent of the miles and miles of farmland mostly of corn and alfalfa.
Technique
The original work is a monotype consisting of encaustic and graphite.
Size and Support
